ABCNews released twelve never before seen aerial photos of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to the twin towers.

The images show the World Trade Center collapse from a new perspective.

The photos were taken by the New York Police Department and obtained by the network after filing for a Freedom of Information Act request last year with the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

ABC said it received a total of 2,779 pictures from the NIST, many of which have never seen before.
