Actor Corey Haim who became famous with the 1987 movie The Lost Boys, has been found dead at age 38, the Associated Press reports.

Haim was found dead at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. He died at Burbank hospital from an apparent accidental drug overdose, the Los Angeles Police Department said, according to the L.A. Times.

Haim had been suffering from flu-like symptoms and had been taking over-the-counter and prescription drugs prior to his death, the Associated Press reported citing Sgt. William Mann.

Haim was born in Toronto, Canada in 1971. He was a teen hearthrob to the 1980's generation. He first appeared in the 1986 movie Lucas, alongside Charlie Sheen and Winona Ryder and later starred in The Lost Boys, with Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric and Corey Feldman.
