The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2009 has changed its route for the first time in 82 years, Macy's announced ahead of the holiday when millions of attendants are expected.

This year, the parade will march along 7th Avenue and not on Broadway as previous years.

Date: Thursday November 26, 2009

Starting Time: 9:00 a.m. departing from 77th Street and Central Park West.

Route:

Starts at 77th Street and Central Park West.

Runs along Central Park West until Columbus Circle.

On Columbus Circle turns east to 7th Avenue.

Marches down 7th avenue until 42nd Street.

On 42nd Street heads towards the east to 6th Avenue.

Travels down along 6th avenue until 34th Street.

Marches west along 34th Street .

Ends on 34th Street and 7th Avenue.
