Miss Beverly Hills 2010 Lauren Ashley is joining former beauty queen, Carrie Prejean, is saying that she also disagrees with same-sex marriage.

The Bible says that marriage is between a man and a woman, Lauren Ashley told Pop Tarts.

In Leviticus it says, 'If man lies with mankind as he would lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death and their blood shall be upon them.' The Bible is pretty black and white.

I feel like God himself created mankind and he loves everyone, and he has the best for everyone. If he says that having sex with someone of your same gender is going to bring death upon you, that's a pretty stern warning, and he knows more than we do about life, Ashley added.

Ashley will be competing in the Miss California beauty pageant in November as Miss Beverly Hills.

She has chosen to stand up in her personal beliefs, following in the footsteps of former Miss California Carrie Prejean.

Prejean gave a controversial answer celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, to a question about same-sex marriage in last year's Miss USA pageant. Prejean said in her answer that she did not believe in same sex marriage, which caused a stir and ultimately, cost her the title.

When asked if Ashley was worried that she may get the same treatment as Prejean did for speaking her mind, she said:

That isn't really the issue. I have a lot of friends that are gay, and ... I have a lot of friends who have different views, and we share our views together. There's no hate between me and anyone.
