The Miami Marlins are ready for the Major League Baseball season, and they have the snazzy new uniforms to prove it.

Pitcher Josh Johnson, catcher John Buck, and other team players showed off their new threads Friday.

The new uniforms -- and the team's new name -- signal a departure from the Florida Marlins' former brand. Photos of the new uniforms were leaked before the official debut, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

Along with their new uniforms and name, the Miami Marlins will also have a new stadium to call home: New Marlins Ballpark.

I don't think you really have to talk up anything, first baseman Gaby Sanchez said, MLB.com reported. I think this stadium says it all by itself.

The ballpark is still under construction in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood. Fans are excited about one feature in particular: a retractable roof.

The dream of our fans has finally come true, with the approaching of the opening of our sparkling new stadium, team owner Jeffrey Loria said, MLB.com reported. The Marlins Ballpark, the coolest ballpark ever.

But not everyone was digging the new duds.

Miami deserves better uniforms than what the rebranded Marlins unveiled, one person tweeted.

Some thought the new uniforms looked a little too familiar.

Looks Like An Sf Giants Ripoff To Me, one commenter tweeted.

Tweeted another: Hey Miami Marlins, the Houston Astros of the '80's called, they want their unis back!
