Baidu Inc. said on Monday its chief technology officer Yinan Li has resigned for personal reasons.

Li had been at Baidu for a little over a year, starting in October 2008. He was previously chief telecommunications scientist and vice president at Shenzhen-based telecommunications equipment maker Huawei Technologies.

We appreciate all that Yinan has contributed to Baidu and we wish him every success in his future endeavors, said Robin Li, Baidu's chief executive, in a statement.

The news came ten days after the resignation of Baidu Chief Operating Officer Peng Ye, also for personal reasons, according to the company.

Baidu didn't offer further details on the resignations in its statement Monday and the company hasn't named replacements for the two executives.
