An Atlanta restaurant, Chops & Hops, is under fire for an item on its menu called the black and bleu sandwich -- a Caribbean ribeye sandwich made with bleu cheese, sliced tomato, onions and shredded romaine -- created by chef Richard Miley to make light the relationship between Chris Brown and Rihanna.

Put your hands on this Caribbean black and bleu sandwich, Chops & Hops, located in Watkinsville, Ga. wrote in a description for the sandwich on its Facebook page. Chris Brown won't beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A.

Since a photo of the sandwich was posted, the Chops & Hops Facebook page was flooded with comments from offended parties, but Chef Miley is standing his ground.

I never expected this, he told ABC News. I started my celebrity sandwiches about six weeks ago to have fun with food, and that was my whole intent. I did not expect this to happen.

Despite its reference to the domestic violence reports between Brown and Rihanna, Miley said the sandwiches are intended as a lighthearted joke not meant to offend anyone.

I was not trying to make a joke of domestic violence, just bringing light to the situation through food, he said. I do not regret doing it. I don't regret anything.

Miley doesn't believe that he has done anything wrong with the naming of his sandwich and will keep it that way.

I'm not going to take it off Facebook, because I'm not afraid of what I did, Miley said. I'm just trying to have fun with food. Some people like it and some people don't.

Chops & Hops issued an apology on Facebook for the sandwich, but the image and sandwich still remains on the menu.

The owners of C&H would like to make sure everyone knows that we and our staff DO NOT SUPPORT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, the apology read. Many of us have been affected by domestic violence in some manner and realize that this is no joke.

According to ABC News, the owners of Chops & Hops plan to donate proceeds from the black and bleu sandwich to Project Safe Team 6, an organization dedicated to stopping domestic violence.

Chops & Hops has created a full menu based on celebrity and pop culture gaffes and the black and bleu sandwich inspired by Chris Brown and Rihanna is just one of them. In fact, the mom-and-pop restaurant has multiple celebrity-inspired sandwiches, like the Paula Deens Type 2, made of bacon, fried green tomato, pickled okra and deep fried honey butter to poke fun at her diabetes diagnosis. Another is a sandwich dedicated to the late Whitney Houston, topped with powdered sugar and sea salt to represent the cocaine that ultimately caused her demise.
