On the same day Casey Anthony broke her silence on the death of her daughter, Caylee, her parents, George and Cindy, responded to Tuesday’s Associated Press interview.

“After years of silence, Casey Anthony has decided to complete an interview and has once again pointed to George Anthony, her father, as a suspect in the disappearance and death of his granddaughter, Caylee,” Casey Anthony’s parents said in a statement to People Magazine Tuesday.

“George, who has continued to try and move forward from this tragedy and who was vindicated on multiple occasions, is once again forced to relive the hints, rumors, lies and allegations that are being made by Casey Anthony,” the statement continued. “He has specifically stated that ‘his heart hurts even more now.’ ”

Tot Mom, as she was famously nicknamed by host Nancy Grace, accused George Anthony of molesting her at the age of 8 years old. He vehemently denied the allegation on the stand. Further, Casey Anthonys’ team alleged George Anthony helped cover up Caylee’s death after she accidentally drowned. But prosecutors and George Anthony discharged the claim. Caylee’s grandfather was never charged in connection with her untimely death.

Despite the molestation accusations, George and Cindy Anthony stood by their daughter throughout the trial. Their relationship became tumultuous when the Anthony’s went on the “Dr. Phil” show in 2011 and talked about how their daughter might have killed Caylee.

Casey Anthony, now 30, was the No. 1 suspect in her daughter’s death. Even though Caylee was last seen June 16, 2008, she was not reported missing until July 15, 2008. Casey Anthony claimed the babysitter took her daughter.

“I'm still not even certain as I stand here today about what happened,” she told the AP.

Once known as the “most hated mom in America,” Casey Anthony didn’t care what people think of her. I don't give a s--- about what anyone thinks about me, I never will,” she said. “I'm OK with myself, I sleep pretty good at night.”

Casey Anthony mused about what Caylee would be like if she didn’t die when she was 2 years old. “Caylee would be 12 right now. And would be a total badass,” she said. “I'd like to think she'd be listening to classic rock, playing sports” and not putting up with nonsense.
