Well, the Season 8 premiere of ABC's "Castle" was a bit confusing, especially if your name is Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion). The crime writer spent episode 1 frantically searching for Beckett, his missing wife (Stana Katic), while trying to figure out what business she has with the assassins targeting people from the attorney general’s office and why she lied to him. Luckily for fans, episode 2, "XX," will answer those question.

According to the synopsis for the new episode, next week viewers will get to see Beckett's side of the story. While the premiere was told solely from Castle's perspective, episode 2 will show Beckett's disappearance through her own eyes -- episode 2's title is "XX," an allusion to the female chromosome pair (Beckett), while the premiere title was "XY," the male chromosome pair (Castle). Will Beckett figure out who wants her dead and why before it is too late?

Meanwhile, the promo for the episode reveals that Castle is not too happy that his wife did not fill him in before taking off to pal around with dangerous assassins.

"You looked me right in the eye and you lied to me," Castle accuses.

"I did what I did to protect you, "Beckett promises.

The promo includes teases for a few scenes that were alluded to in the premiere, but that had gone unseen. In episode 1 Castle paid a visit to the prison where he found out that Beckett had mysteriously visited former Sen. William Bracken (Jack Coleman), the man who killed Beckett's mother. Bracken did not tell Castle anything, but the teaser for episode 2 reveals that fans will soon see Beckett and Bracken's secret conversation. What is Beckett hiding?

Will Beckett figure out who is trying to kill her? Can Castle forgive Beckett for lying? Fans will have to wait to find out. "Castle" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
