Charlie Sheen has now been released from Pitkin County Jail, after being arrested for domestic violence, according to Aspen Police.

The 44-year-old actor was released after paying a $8,500 bail, which is in line with standard domestic violence bail conditions, and was released Friday night at about 7 p.m., EW.com reported.

Sheen was arrested Friday morning after a 911 call at 8:34 a.m. was made from a ski resort of Aspen, Colorado.

He was charged with second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief and was housed in the Pitkin County jail, cops said.

The Two and a Half Men star married Brooke Mueller Sheen, a property investor, in May 2008. They have twin boys together, Max and Rob.

According to E online, a source close to Mueller's family, said the couple's marriage was on the rocks “long before the alleged domestic violence incident”.

Brooke and Charlie have had many fights during their short marriage over his insistence on staying home and never wanting to go out, the source said.

Sheen is now scheduled to appear in court, at the Pitkin County Courthouse, on Feb. 8.
