Legendary singer and actress Cher is now the face of the Marc Jacobs fashion house, starring in its Fall/Winter 2015 campaign. The award-winning entertainer, who turned 69 on May 20, modeled for the designer wearing a semi-sheer, pleated, black dress, topped off by an embellished jacket and finished with gloves, according to Hello.

In the photo, her glossy black locks are worn down in voluminous curves. She shows off her natural beauty wearing minimal makeup as she sits on a chair in front of a red background. The picture was shot by fashion photographer David Sims. Cher completely nails the high-fashion pose as she glances sideways at the camera with her pout on full display.

Jacobs was thrilled and took to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek of the new campaign image. “The amazing and beautiful CHER!” he captioned the picture, saying that it was just the beginning and there was more to come. Meanwhile, the official Instagram page of the brand says that Cher is the “first face” of a series of images. There has been speculation as to what the rest of the campaign will bring.

Cher's link to the Marc Jacobs campaign comes as little surprise as Jacobs has been an ardent fan of the “If I Could Turn Back Time” pop star. Jacobs was Cher’s date at the 2015 Met Gala in New York City earlier this month. The duo arrived hand-in-hand at the event. She was dressed in a sequined floor-sweeping red and gray gown on the occasion designed by Jacobs. The designer also admitted that it was his dream to dress Cher.

Cher joins a coveted list of Marc Jacobs models, which includes Sophia Coppola, Dakota Fanning and Victoria Beckham. She is also part of a new trend where designers are picking more mature models. Jacobs roped in 66-year-old Jessica Lange to be the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty, in February. And 80-year-old writer Joan Didion was announced as the new face of Celine, while singer Joni Mitchell, 71, starred in a Saint Laurent black-and-white campaign in January.
