Anita Tedald adopted a child and then gave him up 18 months later because she realized the baby was not bonding with her and her family.

The uncovering of her story has caused controversy and brought up several negative opinions against her decision to give the baby up.

Tedald says that despite pouring her love and efforts, and even make some attachment therapy, there was not a connection and gave the child to another family.

I loved him and I cared deeply for him. I tried to do the same exact thing I did with my biological children, but over the time it became clear that our family maybe wasn't a good match for him, that we were unable to meet some of his needs, Tedald said.

Anita's story was first featured in a blog in the New York Times. She confessed in an interview in NBC's Today Show that she hesitated several months to tell the story.
