China must have 11 percent industrial output growth this year to achieve its GDP target of 8 percent, Minister of Industry and Information Technology Li Yizhong said on Friday.

When asked how fast China's industrial output should grow this year to achieve the GDP growth target, Li told reporters: Eleven percent. He was speaking on the sidelines of the annual session of parliament.
