Two Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) passenger planes clipped one another on the ground at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport on Friday, but no injuries were reported, the airline said.

"We had a taxiway incident tonight at O'Hare," Delta spokeswoman Chris Kelly Singley said, adding that two planes had "made contact" on the ground.

She said that all passengers disembarked after the incident involving a flight bound for Minneapolis and another heading to Atlanta. An investigation was underway into the cause of the collision and to assess the damage, she said.

A spokeswoman for the Chicago Department of Aviation, Karen Pride, said the planes had "reportedly clipped wings," but the Delta spokeswoman could not confirm what parts of the plane came into contact.
