Jason Hunter has been reportedly stabbed by his girlfriend in the shoulder. The incident happened sometime around 9 a.m. ET.

His injury was minor, however, according to his team's website.

He is currently receiving treatment in a Detroit hospital. Hunter, 27, has played five seasons in the NFL, including his stint with the Broncos. He played every game for the Broncos last season and finished with 61 tackles and three sacks.

According to the police, Hunter did not want his girlfriend prosecuted.
