With accessory maker Case-Mate leaking the six new case designs for the new smartphone iPhone 5 on one of its web pages, people have begun guessing about how this new iPhone will really look like.

Although the images existed on its Web site only for a short time, the Internet is already abuzz with rumors about it.

While some believe that iPhone 5 will be different in look and function from iPhone 4, others feel that the new generation iPhone would be similar to iPhone 4 in terms of looks at least.

According to Case-Mate's designs, iPhone 5 will be wider and thinner with a ovaloid home button. The screen size will increase to 4-inches and it will be edge-to-edge display. The yet-to-be-released smartphone is expected to have an aluminum back (unlike iPhone 4, which has a glass back) and several ports, one of which looks like a dock connector at the bottom..

As the rumors go, the new smartphone will have an A5 dual-core processor, which is used in the iPad 2. Also, it will have a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera. What's more, people are expecting that iPhone 5 can be charged wirelessly and will be powered by iOS 5.

iPhone 5 is expected to be released sometime later in this month or in early October. Many people are looking forward to seeing this mysterious device which has been kept under wraps so far by Apple.
