Apple is planning to build its largest retail store in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates. The Cupertino-based tech giant is used to dominating the marketplace but will be in a unique position in Dubai as the country is famous for its massive feats of architecture with new projects being announced each year that only add to the amusement park-feel.

Dubai is already home to the Dubai Mall, the world's largest shopping center, Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest structure, and Burj Al Arab, a "seven-star" hotel. The Dubai police also have luxuries that go beyond any other in the world, with a fleet of police vehicles that includes Aston Martins, Lamborghini Aventadors and Bentlys.

Meanwhile, several upcoming projects hope to dramatically alter the Dubai skyline. The Dynamic Tower, a pre-fab rotating tower is currently in development by architect David Fisher although no date has been set for construction. The Cayan Tower, or Infinity Tower, is another twisted skyscraper that was completed in 2006. In July 2014, Dubai Holding announced the Mall of the World, a climate-controlled "pedestrian city" that will feature the world's largest indoor family theme park, a residential area, a medical tourism district and a cultural district.
