The Duggar family, which features in the TLC reality show “19 Kids and Counting,” is surrounded with yet another scandal after reports surfaced that the conservative Christian family’s patriarch Jim Bob Duggar’s sister had a child out of wedlock. Amy Duggar, who has appeared in the show, may have been born before her mother Deanna Duggar got married, according to reports.

The 52-year-old quietly admitted that she had a baby before marriage, RadarOnline reported, giving rise to speculations that husband Terry Jordan may not be Amy’s biological father. In an interview in 2012, Terry had said that he and Deanna had been dating for 20 years -- five years after Amy was born, the Daily Mail reported. Deanna and Terry reportedly got married in 2006.

Amy, 27, refers to Terry as her father and has previously written about him on her Instagram account, saying "a girl’s father is the first man in her life and the most influential ... I admire my dad.”

Jim Bob, whose family abides by strict courtship guidelines, has said that he is close to his sister and the two families get together every week to spend some quality time, InTouch Weekly reported.

Meanwhile, Amy also does not follow the strict rules as she has always been open about her relationship with Dillon King. The reality star has, on many occasions, posted pictures of the couple's date nights. The two are also seen kissing each other in several of Amy's Instagram pictures.

The Duggar family’s courting rules do not allow couples to spend time alone before marriage.

Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, had followed the family’s guidelines and did not kiss each other until their wedding in June 2014.
