Entertainment Rights Plc today announced its interim results for the six months ended 30th June 2006. It announced that although the results were down from the same period last year, the Board still "remains confident that ER is on course to meet market expectations for the full year, a statement said today.

Entertainment Rights has 49 shows currently on air on terrestrial and digital TV and is the largest supplier of children's and family programming to the UK

Turnover was reported to be £5.9m, down from £12.4m last year. EBITDA was down to £0.1m from £3.4. Last year a profit of £1.2m was made, in the same period this year an operating loss of £2.5m was reported. After tax there was an underlying loss of £2.2m. There was a basic l0ss per share of 0.58p.
