Mozilla has uploaded a Firefox 3.5 Release Candidate 2 (RC2) in their FTP servers meaning it is live and available for download anytime.

Mozilla told the more than 800,000 beta testers that this new version will be a final beta preview of Firefox 3.5. Three days ago the company released Firefox 3.5 RC1 to the public, However, Mozilla hasn’t released any formal announcement when the final version will come.

Firefox 3.5 offers many changes over the previous version, supporting new web technologies, improving performance and ease of use, and adding new features for users.

Firefox 3.5 (Release Candidate) is based on the Gecko 1.9.1 rendering platform with, improved video and audio playback as well as faster performance in loading its pages and execution from JavaScript engine.

Features include of Firefox 3.5 include HTML 5-based capabilities for audio and video, offline caching, and the HTML drag-and-drop API for moving items within and between Web sites, with CSS enhancements and downloadable fonts.

The open source Firefox 3.5 browser will be made available to the general public later this month.
