NEW YORK - Frontier Oil's 130,000-barrel-per-day El Dorado, Kansas refinery will run below capacity in August and will continue to do so through September, the company said on its website Tuesday.

The company estimated that the refinery ran at 115,500 barrels per day in August, and will run at 118,000 barrels per day in September.

Lower rates are due to inventory management in preparation for upcoming planned turnaround of FCC/Gofiner in early October, spokeswoman Kristine Boyd said in an email on Tuesday.

The company's 52,000-barrel-per-day Cheyenne, Wyoming refinery ran at 42,600 barrels per day in August and will run at 41,800 barrels per day in September, in line with levels in recent months.
