Daenerys Targaryen is one of the few lucky characters who are still alive at the end of Season 5 of HBO's “Game of Thrones.” Despite several close calls, the character played by Emilia Clarke has managed to survive. While speaking about the numerous brutal deaths in the season finale, Clarke recalled her character’s dead husband Khal Drogo and their little sex-scene secret.

Just weeks before filming begins for “Game of Thrones” Season 6, Clarke appeared on the BBC's “The Graham Norton Show.” She spoke about characters that have left the show, including Khal Drogo, who was played by Jason Momoa.

Clarke revealed that despite Drogo’s brooding and dark persona, Momoa was actually quite hilarious on set. “He doesn’t look like a funny man,” observed Norton. Clarke agreed but reassured the host that Momoa was pretty funny, especially with a shot of whiskey in him.

Clarke then looked back all the way to Season 1, when she had a rape scene with Momoa. It was one of the first encounters between Daenerys and Khal Drog0 after she was sold to him to be his wife.

She recounted how the scene was shot from behind Momoa’s back, with the camera zooming in to her petrified face. Clarke revealed that the scene wasn’t so easy to shoot because she had to hold in a lot of laughter. Momoa had decided to forgo the standard “modesty sock” to cover his private parts for the scene, opting instead for a big fluffy pink sock.

“So getting that closeup from me, looking petrified and just like I didn’t want it to happen was just lots of laughter. It’s huge and it’s pink and I don’t know what to do with it!” she said.

Khal Drogo is one lucky character who has returned to the show post mortem. However, it was just a short-lived dream sequence. After the shocking death of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in the Season 5 finale, fans from all over the world are busy churning out resurrection theories despite confirmation that Snow is truly dead.
