Game Of Thrones
The last appearance of the White Walkers in "Game of Thrones" dates to Season 4, episode 4. HBO

Season 5 of “Game of Thrones” has given fans new locations, new characters and plenty of new drama. However, one group that has not made an appearance in the first four episodes has been the White Walkers. When will fans get another taste of the mysterious, undead baddies from North of the Wall?

Kit Harrington, the actor who plays newly elected Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch Jon Snow, says the White Walkers will indeed show up in the upcoming episodes. However, the actor didn't reveal the exact date.

"It's safe to say that you might see more of them this season," Harrington told E! Online. "We might learn a bit more about that. But when and where, I don't know."

Despite the vagueness as to the exact episode, that is still good news for fans eager to learn more about the enigmatic threat closing in on the Wall, along with the onset of winter. The White Walkers have not made an appearance on the show since the shocking Season 4, episode 4 scene, where a White Walker collected Craster’s last son from the Haunted Forest and carried him away to the White Walker camp. At the camp, the leader of the zombie-looking army put the baby on an altar and touched him on the face below the eye. The baby’s eyes turned a glazed blue as he appeared to turn into a White Walker himself.

The scene came as a surprise to fans, considering it is not taken from the show’s source material, George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novel series. The absence of White Walker action so far in Season 5 could be attributable to the fact that the show has largely caught up to teh group's storyline in the books.

When will the White Walkers appear next? Fans will have to wait to find out. “Game of Thrones” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT on HBO.
