One of Hollywood’s veteran celebrities, George Clooney, turned 55 years old on May 6. In a recent interview, the actor shared how he and his wife Amal celebrated his birthday.

The “Hail! Caesar” actor recently sat down for an interview with ET Canada while promoting the movie “Money Monster” at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, with cast member Julia Roberts. Apart from talking about the film, George also shared the birthday festivities that he and wife Amal enjoyed. The multi-awarded star revealed that he spent his natal day in the Bahamas with his beautiful wife, along with some friends.

George recounted some of the activities during the said Bahamas birthday trip that included a “little boat ride” and dining out in a restaurant. He even stated that he had a “great night” on his birthday. The actor also joked that he marked the special day by “crying and drinking.”

When asked what kind of birthday present he received from his wife, George revealed that Amal gave him a practical gift, a lawn mower. "We have a beautiful front lawn at our house in England and I used to mow lawns when I was a kid, so she bought me this giant riding lawn mower that is sitting at the house right now,” the actor explained. He also shared his excitement over Amal’s gift. “I'm very excited about putting that to work when I'm home,” George said.

Meanwhile, George and “Money Monster” co-star Julia recently joined Gwen Stefani for a singing session in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke for the “Late Late Show,” E!News reported. James picked up both George and Julia to complete the passenger count needed to drive in the carpool lane.

The four stars had an enjoyable carpool karaoke ride, as they belted out one of Gwen’s tracks and other hit songs. Julia and George sang “Hollaback Girl” with Gwen and James. The quartet also sang Queen’s iconic “We are the Champions.”
