Hands up who knew s a cell phone texting championship existed?

Well, apparently there is one and a 15-year-old Iowa girl has been crowned the new LG US National Texting Championship after a two-day marathon competition.

Kate Moore, 15, beat 21 competitors in New York City on Tuesday to win the prize for the fastest and most accurate text messages.

Her prize? $50,000.

Kate battled through rounds of texting while blindfolded, being distracted by an actor dressed as an emoticon, and having to listen to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata being played in the background.

In the end, it was a tie breaker in the final round had to text where Moore texted Zippity Dooo Dahh Zippity Ayy...MY oh MY, what a wonderful day! Plenty of sunshine Comin' my way....Zippitty Do Dah Zippity Aay! WondeRful Feeling Wonderful day!

Ironically, Moore has only had her cell phone for eight months.

I'm just like completely stunned right now, like you would never think that a girl from Iowa would win something this big in New York, and I' m just completely amazed, stunned, freaked out, Moore said on stage after she was announced the winner.

All finalists were under the age of 22.
