Gwyneth Paltrow launched her much anticipated own Goop skincare range on Monday. But, the Goop guru has created the line in her capacity as the creative director of Juice Beauty. Paltrow’s Goop skincare is her latest venture, and includes six products to get the “Goop glow.”
The products are all natural and organic, and include a cleanser, a night cream, an exfoliating instant facial, a day moisturizer, facial oil, and a night cream. The products range from $90-$140, or there is a smaller Discovery Set that has travel-sized versions of every product for $125. The actress and entrepreneur added that as a woman, mother and as someone who preaches a non-toxic lifestyle, it was very important.
“We have always been outspoken here at Goop about concerns over the toxic ingredients used in personal care products — an industry that operates without regulation,” the 43-year-old wrote on her website. She said that now people have become aware of the adverse effects of chemicals on our health. Paltrow told that now people understand how absorbent the skin is and how applying toxic chemicals on our skin is not good for us.
“We built on [Juice Beauty’s] foundation in safety to create something that didn’t exist that I had always been looking for: A line of truly luxurious and effective skincare — products that take organic to the next level,” she wrote.
The green ambassador revealed that she was inspired to create an organic make-up range after researchers for her website began looking into the ingredients of everyday products. Paltrow’s products are available on her website Goop and in select boutiques in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, New York, Tennessee and Texas. All of Paltrow’s products have a simple packaging of white containers with Goop written in black across it.
As per the “Iron Man” actress’s website, the skincare range promises brightening, glowing and youthful skin.
