Mei Fong wants to take revenge in “Hell on Wheels” Season 5, episode 6. A sneak peek video of the next episode shows Cullen trying hard to stop Mei from taking the law into her own hands.

[Spoiler alert]

A scene from the next episode has been posted on AMC’s YouTube channel. Mei Fong (Angela Zhou) can be seen crying over the body of Tao (Tzi Ma) and later trying to attack Chang (Byron Mann).

Cullen Bohannan (Anson Mount) tries to pacify Mei and tells her that killing Chang now will not be worth it. A depressed Mei continues to cry and rests over Tao’s bed. It is unclear if Cullen has managed to convince her to let go of her anger.

A major concern for Cullen now may be to ensure that Tao's death doesn’t hamper railroad construction. Tao was the only one, apart from Mei, who was able to translate orders given in English to the Chinese workers. Cullen may have to rely on his limited learning of the language and take Mei's support to continue the work in the next episode of “Hell on Wheels.”

The railroad construction suffered after Chang had called for the workers to protest against the killing of a Chinese man. Disgruntled employees who were fired had killed a Chinese and managed to get away without punishment.

It was Tao who resolved the crises and Chang had noted how his authority had been undermined. A video posted on AMC shows that the most talked-about scene in the previous episode was Tao’s murder.

Chang hired an assassin to kill Tao and ensured that the only witnesses were Chinese, so the assassin can escape punishment without even a trial. Cullen had also accurately guessed that it was Chang who had arranged for the murder.

Apart from an increasingly belligerent Chang, Cullen will also have to face challenges from the Swede (Christopher Heyerdahl) in the next episode of “Hell on Wheels.” The character has revealed his stockpile of guns to Brigham Young’s son in the previous episode, but his real master plan has not yet been revealed.
