French fashion house Balmain is the next high-profile designer to collaborate with the Swedish high street giant H&M. The tie-up was announced in typically starry Balmain style at the Billboard Music Awards via social media in Las Vegas on Sunday. Fashion designer and creative director Olivier Rousteing walked the red carpet along with models Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn, clad in fresh designs from the collection, according to WWD.

British catwalk queen Jourdan Dunn stunned in a ribbed navy jumper with gold embellishments and sheer detailing, and a pillar box red satin skirt that was draped and thigh-high black boots. Kendall Jenner looked resplendent in a bead-embellished black velvet blazer. She kept her hair slicked back to focus on her dazzling mini dress. The full-sleeved frock featured intricate silver embellishments and a plunging neckline.

Both outfits could easily have been mistaken for mainline Balmain, suggesting the collaboration will certainly satisfy fans of the label who can't quite afford the high price tag. Oliver’s collection for H&M will include women’s and men’s clothes, shoes, and accessories, and is scheduled to hit the company’s e-commerce site and stores worldwide on Nov. 5.

Judging by this first look at Jourdan and Kendall’s outfits, quality and glamour is set to continue through to the high-street line. The news of the high-profile collaboration was confirmed via H&M's Twitter account, with the brand tweeting: “It's official! #BalmainParis is H&M's next guest designer collaboration! #HMBALMAINATION.” According to the Swedish giant, the collection named HM Balmaination will have a unique mix of couture spirit and streetwear attitude.

The designer in his statement said that he wanted to talk to his generation through his designs, adding that H&M allowed him the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain. Oliver said that it would be a global phenomenon that would be seen everywhere during fall with the hashtag “HM Balmaination.” Further details about the collaboration, including price points, have yet to be announced.

Balmain has grown into a global pop-culture phenomenon under the leadership of Rousteing. The French fashion house ruled the 2015 Billboard Music Awards red carpet. Six stars rocked Balmain outfits. The two outfits that stood out in the night included Taylor Swift's white hot jumpsuit and Kendall Jenner's sleek black and silver ensemble.
