Hong Kong Police Make Record Cocaine Haul
Police in Hong Kong intercepted a shipment of drugs that is believed to be the biggest cocaine haul in the island’s history.
Picking up a tip from U.S. officials, customs officers in Hong Kong seized cocaine weighing about 1433 lbs, with a street value of 760 million Hong Kong dollars, or $98 million.
The coke originated in Ecuador and was destined for markets in Southeast Asia.
Three men have been arrested in connection with the drug seizure.
