Inmate Gets Special Delivery: Marijuana

Talk about special delivery: St. Lucie County, Florida, authorities say someone tossed a small package of marijuana to an inmate working on a road crew.

Sheriff Ken J. Mascara said Parell Seay is facing new charges as a result of the incident, including resisting an officer with violence and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, WESH, Orlando, reported.

The first charge was the result of Seay trying to throw something away after a corrections officer ordered him to turn and face a nearby fence. It hit the officer instead.

The latter charge was the result of the package.

Seay told investigators he didn't know who was in the Dodge Charger from which the package was tossed. But, he said, he had planned to take the marijuana back to the Martin County work camp where he was incarcerated.
