Japan's government will announce measures to support Japan Airlines Corp <9205.T> after a state-backed restructuring fund announces its decision on the struggling airline later on Tuesday, Transport Minister Seiji Maehara said at a news conference.

JAL, Asia's biggest airline by revenues, is expected to file for one of the country's largest ever bankruptcies later today as part of a restructuring being crafted by the Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corp of Japan.
