A recent report claimed that Kris Jenner set up son Rob Kardashian with Jennifer Lawrence and the two “hit off.” However, Gossip Cop reported Friday that the claim was “not true.”

Contact Music reported Thursday, citing Heat magazine, that Jenner became friends with Lawrence on the “Hunger Games” actress’ 25th birthday last month. The reality television star suggested Lawrence visit her at home and meet Kardashian, the report added.

“Rob wasn't happy with Kris -- he's not ready to date and wants to lose more weight before being pictured in public but it's classic Kris,” a source told the magazine. Lawrence, who recently broke up with English musician Chris Martin, struck chords with Kardashian and the two got along well, according to the magazine.

“It was set up but they hit it off. Rob's funny and Jen's hilarious,” the source reportedly said.

However, Gossip Cop debunked the entire report with a source saying that Lawrence laughed off the magazine’s claim and that the two had met for the first time on Lawrence's birthday. Jenner and Lawrence, a “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” fans, spent time together singing karaoke and posing for a comic photo on a bed during the actress’ birthday, the report added.
