A restraining order filed by Jennifer Love Hewitt was granted on Monday against a 62-year-old man she says has been stalking her since December, the Associated Press reported.
Los Angeles Superior Court files show a judge in Burbank, Calif. Granted Hewitt's request for a three-year restraining order against David Nolte.
The court petition states that Nolte even sold his home in Colorado to move close to Hewitt in Los Angeles. She became fearful of him after she received dozens of letters allegedly sent by Nolte, describing violent and sexual fantasies of her. He later appeared at her mother's house in late December.
Nolte has been ordered to stay at least 100 feet away from Hewitt, and her ex-fiancé until 2012.
