Jessica Simpson married former NFL player Eric Johnson in a traditional ceremony at the San Ysidro Ranch in the Montecito foothills outside Santa Barbara, California.

In attendance at the couple’s nuptials on Saturday were more than 250 guests, including Simpson’s sister Ashlee Simpson and her fiancé actor Evan Ross, Jessica Alba and her family, Topher Grace and his girlfriend, and Johnson's friends, including Tim Rattay. The couple’s children, son Ace, who just turned 1, served as a ringbearer, and 2-year-old daughter Maxwell was a flower girl.

"We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment," the newlyweds told People magazine in a statement. "To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives."

Simpson and Johnson started dating four years ago after they were introduced by mutual friends. The 34-year-old former San Francisco 49ers tight end proposed to the 33-year-old pop singer in November 2010.

"I couldn't ask for a better man in my life right now," Simpson told People in 2010. "I'm in a great place and if right now could last forever, I'd take it."

She also told People last year: “I definitely look forward to the day that I can look into his eyes and make that commitment that we both really long for.”

This is the second marriage for both. Simpson was previously married to singer Nick Lachey, whom she divorced in 2006, while Johnson was married to stylist Keri Johnson.

In May, Simpson posted a photo of her with Johnson, captioning it: “I can’t wait to marry you!!!”
