Justin Bieber has refused to cut ties with his friend, rapper Lil Twist, who was on Thursday busted by police officials for driving Bieber’s car under the influence of marijuana, TMZ reported.

A source close to the Canadian pop star told TMZ that Bieber’s associates have been requesting him to boot out Lil Twist, whose real name is Christopher Moore, and rapper Lil Za, real name Xaivier Domonique Smith, from his Calabasas home, and also to forbid them from using his fleet of cars.

But, Bieber considers them “true friends,” and has refused to ditch them, TMZ reported.

According to reports, both Lil Twist and Lil Za are said to have a great influence on Bieber, and people close to the singer feel they are a negative force on the 19-year-old.

Industry sources believe that Bieber’s erratic behavior, which include Bieber turning up for concerts late, smoking what looks like marijuana, attacking paparazzi, and more recently, urinating in a mop bucket and abusing Bill Clinton, are all due to negative influences from his cohorts in Los Angeles, which includes Lil Twist and Lil Za.

“All the bad stuff seems to happen in LA and it would be great if Justin could stay away from there. The problems seem to arise when he hangs out there, a lot of negativity comes from LA,” a source told the Daily Mail.

More recently, when Bieber apologized to Clinton when a video of him cursing the former president was leaked online, Clinton, too, advised the teen to exercise caution in picking friends. It is believed that the video, which was taken earlier this year, was leaked by one of Bieber’s close friends.
