3/4 cup soy sauce and same amout of water
1/3 cup sugar (any type is fine)
1 t salt and black pepper
2 T sesame oil
1/4 cup minced garlic and 1/2 cup minced onion
1/2 cup sliced carrot or any type of vegetable you like
3 pounds Korean-style short ribs
1 kiwi or 1 pear or 1 cup pineapple
1. Pour soy sauce and water into a large bowl. Whisk in sugar, salt and pepper, sesame oil, garlic, and onion.
2. Submerge the Korean-style short ribs in this marinade and refrigerate more than 6 hours, preferably more than 12 hours.
3. Preheat a pan or grill.
4. Remove ribs from the marinade and cook on preheated pan or grill around 5 minutes each side.
