Linebacker Jordan Hicks of Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio who is one of the elite recruits in the U.S., announced Friday afternoon that he chose the scholarship offered by Texas.

Hicks made his decision between Ohio State, Florida and Texas.

I'd like to say I am going to be a Texas Longhorn, Hicks said according to the Columbus Dispatch, reportedly putting on a Texas cap. It was just in my heart. That's where I felt most comfortable.

Hicks won the Dick Butkus Award, which is given to the nation's top high school linebacker. He was also the consensus No. 1 prospect in Ohio this recruiting season, The Columbus Dispatch reported and according to the EPNU, he is the No. 4 overall prospect in the U.S.

Hicks is 6.2 feet,weighs 220 pounds.

This is the biggest recruit for Texas so far, according to ESPN.
