An English teacher and coach at a prestigious Massachusetts high school was suspended after it emerged that he was also a porn star.

Kevin Hogan, who has worked at the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Malden since September, can also be found on the Internet and in adult entertainment stores under his screen name, Hytch Cawke. His credits include Fetish World and Just Gone Gay 8.

The school has been recognized in the U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek magazines as one of the best in the United States.

When we hire employees for the school, in any capacity, we seek comprehensive information about their past employment activities and fitness for the position, the school said in a statement. We do wish to confirm the school's insistence that any applicant for a position here be candid and forthright about disclosing past employment positions.

Hogan will have to answer to his school, which has placed him on paid leave while it conducts its own investigation.

The state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education said it would look into the situation. A spokesman said, We expect teachers to hold a very high moral standard. They are role models for students.
