Microsoft on Tuesday unveiled a new wireless keyboard and mouse peripherals equipped with 2.4GHz technology design for natural wrist posture and Windows 7 optimizations.

Redmond-based software maker introduced its wireless comfort desktop 500, and the comfort curved keyboard and mouse featuring comfortable natural wrist posture of a 6 degree curve. The new products uses 2.4GHz technology that works up to 30 feet away.

Our goal is to have a strong ecosystem of compatible and innovative products, the company said. We're excited about the work Microsoft Hardware has done to light up the key features of Windows 7.

The keyboard also features a soft touch palm rest, low-profile quiet touch keys; and a contoured, compact shape with rubber side grips mouse.

The Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 is priced at $79.99 and is set to begin shipping later this month.
