The third season of “Game of Thrones” will premiere on HBO on March 31. The latest “Game of Thrones” trailer continues to tease fans with glimpses of new scenes, but there is plenty of mystery before the third season premieres in two weeks.

The new “Game of Thrones” starts with the flapping of wings as fans are greeted with a shot of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) aboard a ship. War continues to be the focal point of Westeros as the trailer reveals plotting for the next phase of war efforts by the Starks and Stannis Baratheon. Daenerys, in addition to her dragons, is also seen amassing a large army and preparing for battle.

On the other side of the Wall, Mance Rayder, the King-Beyond-the-Wall, is also preparing for war. Rayder has united the Wildings to attack the Night’s Watch and the Wall, but it seems as though there is more than the attack on the wall that Rayder’s worried about.

The new trailer also reveals plenty of action in King’s Landing with the arrival of Tywin Lannister. King Joffrey Lannister continues to be the character everyone hates as new scenes focus on Joffrey’s tyranny and cruelty as several individuals are tortured.

There are some scenes featuring Arya Stark and Bran Stark, but little is revealed about their fate in the third season. Jamie Lannister and Brienne of Tarth are seen fighting as the two continue to travel to King’s Landing. Other characters, such as Theon Greyjoy, do not make an appearance in the new trailer. Sandor Clegane, the Hound, has fled King’s Landing and can be seen in battle against Lord Beric Dondarrion. Another scene features a bear ready to strike out.

The trailer gives plenty of insight into the important characters but gives little away in terms of the larger plot. You can view the new trailer below.
