Sonnie Detore, the niece of “Mob Wives” star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola, posted a photo of the larger-than-life reality star on her deathbed. Big Ang died early Thursday morning at the age of 55 after a battle with brain and lung cancer.

Sonnie, who is the daughter of Big Ang’s sister Janine, kissed her aunt one last time in the Instagram photo. “You have my heart forever. I was so scared to come see you. Three weeks I waited. Oh I regret that so much,” Sonnie wrote in the post, according to People magazine. “I miss your voice and your smile and your beautiful brown eyes. Even bald you were a star. You were in the room when I was born and from that day on you became my second mommy.” The image has since been removed.

Janine also shared an Instagram post. Instead of a deathbed photo though, she posted a picture of Big Ang looking more like herself, smiling. “At 3:01 my beautiful sister got her wings she’s with our mom and dad. We would like to thank everyone for your prayers and support,” she captioned the photo.

Raiola was surrounded by family and friends when she died. Her estranged husband, Neil Murphy, sat with her as she took her final breaths.

“It was so quick,” Janine told Radar Online in an exclusive interview Thursday. “It was very peaceful. We were playing her favorite music. We were telling her how much we love her and how mommy and daddy were waiting for her.”

Big Ang was diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in late March. After two surgeries, the VH1 reality star thought she had beaten cancer. But in December she was told it had spread to her brain and right lung.

She is survived by two children and six grandchildren.
