NTT Data Corp. launched a friendly takeover bid for Germany's Intelligence AG Wednesday, according to reports.

The Tokyo based company will offer 6.2 euros for each share of Intelligence AG and hopes to buy over 12 million shares, according to the Nikkei News, which cited a company statement.

NTT Data reportedly said the offer has been accepted and the deal should be completed before year-end. Shares of NTT Data fell 1.2% in mid morning trade in Tokyo Wednesday.
