Oracle unveiled fusion applications for businesses on Wednesday during the last session of the company's Openworld event.

In his last address to this year's attendants, Larry Ellison, Oracle's CEO, revealed the new Sales Force Automation (SFA) tools, one of the various Fusion Applications that Oracle will release in 2008.

The new sales applications include Oracle Sales Prospect, Oracle Sales References and Oracle Sales Tools.

The first generation of SFA helped you forecast better, and the second-generation of SFA Oracle Fusion Applications will help you sell more, said Ellison.

These applications help the sales people know their customers, the products that they should sell and the different references that they should use to have successful sales.

The new applications will improve the existing E-Business Suites applications by adding new and advanced features since it will be supported by a suite of fusion middleware that allows movement of data between similar applications, for easy integration, Ellison explained.
