Prince William and Kate arrive in Canada to start North American tour

Britain's Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Ottawa, Canada Thursday on a windy afternoon to thousands of eagerly waiting fans.

This is the couple's first Royal tour together, and they were formerly greeted by the Canadian Foreign Minister along with other dignitaries.

William and Kate rode in a car adorned with a special flag that was designed in their honor by Stephen Harper, Canada's prime minister.

It is the first flag since 1962 to be created by Canada for the royals.
