Being sought after for a selfie at Davos doesn’t always require running a country or writing a hit song -- having a carrot nose will do the trick, civic activists are hoping:

There are 193 snowmen at the World Economic Forum, representing the countries of the world with their respective scarf flags, and reminding attendees of the Millennium Development Goals -- soon to be the Sustainable Development Goals -- associated with the #action2015 campaign.

In an open letter to global leaders published at the beginning of this year, signatories as varied as Hugh Jackman and Malala Yousafzai asked world leaders to focus on sustainable development in 2015. The 1,000-plus organizations behind the campaign hope to use two of 2015’s U.N. summits as an opportunity to recognize the relationship between environmental instability and poverty.

Whether these goals will be met has yet to be seen, but the shareable appeal of the frostiest Davos delegates is definitely a start.
