The organizers at the U.S. Open announced Friday the pending singles matches will be completed today but not before 4:30pm EST due to the challenging rain.

Three matches will begin simultaneously today, the United States Tennis Association said Friday at 3:30 pm EST.

The women's singles match between Kim Clijsters versus Serena Williams will take place at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. The single match between Yanina Wickmayer and Caroline Wozniacki will be held at the Grandstand, while the men's singles between Fernando Gonzalez and Rafael Nadal will be completed at the Louis Armstrong Stadium.

The USTA may implement and communicate any plans considered to complete Friday's night matches and beyond, according to the U.S. Open website.
