She's lost seven children and a husband.

But now things are looking up for a 7-year-old red-tailed hawk in Riverside Park. She and a young male have been getting close recently.

Hawk watchers first spotted that two-year-old male back in September, speculating that he and the bereaved might get together when she didn't banish him from her territory.

An early sign of romance in hawks is that they're tolerating each other, said Pamela Langford, according to DNAinfo.com. The pair have been spotted on lampposts and in trees together and, so far, their love looks reasonably secure.
