The senior members of royal family gathered in Edinburgh to celebrate the marriage of Zara Phillips, the granddaughter of Britain's Queen Elizabeth, and England rugby player Mike Tindall.

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh are expected to attend the Royal wedding in Canongate Kirk on the Royal Mile on Saturday.

Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter and her man, Mike Tindall -to-be hosted the celebration for about 150 people, including Britain's Sophie, Countess of
Wessex, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Phillips and Tindall wedding on Saturday is Scotland's first royal wedding after 20 years and is set to draw crowds of well-wishers.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince William and Catherine, and Prince Harry are among the guests who are attending the wedding.

Other guests expected to attend the wedding include Prince Andrew and his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

The private afternoon ceremony will be followed by a reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, BBC reported.

The couple among their wedding preparations also hosted a pre-wedding party, drinks reception on the royal yacht Brittania in Edinburgh, on Friday night.
