An 12,300-pound whale at SeaWorld park in Orlando, killed a trainer in front of a horrified audience today, causing the park to immediately close, the Associated Press reports.

The whale leaped from the water, dragged the woman under and trashed her around violently, according to an audience member interviewed by WKMG.

The Orlando County Sherriff's Office said the death was accidental and claimed the trainer fell into the whale's tank.

This is not the first incident with the Orca, it reportedly killed Daniel Dukes in 1999, a homeless man who accessed the tank in after-opening-hours. Also, the whale was involved in an incident resulting in the trainer's drowning in 1991, CBS News reported.

The name of the Orca is Tilikum and is almost 30-years old.
