The Feds raid the Pennsylvania offices of a unit of Germany's Siemens AG on Wednesday as part of an investigation of a Siemens contract with the U.S. military, a company spokesman said.

Investigators from the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) of the U.S. Defense Department today conducted a limited search of Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc's Malvern facility, said spokesman Lance Longwell in a statement.

The search was in connection with an investigation of a Siemens contract with the Defense Department and focused on one floor of one building of the German conglomerate’s Malvern campus.

Siemens said it asked employees who work near the area where the search took place to take the remainder of the day off and to return Thursday for a regular workday.

The company said it has fully complied with the investigation and will continue to do so.

Just recently, Siemens was awarded a Defense Department contract worth up to $267 million to sell medical imaging equipment to the military.
